My valued Swedish friend and colleague Sten Persson sent along some before-and-after images of this intriguing diesel which is now owned by a friend of his after its acquisition on Tradera (the Swedish eBay). Although no measurements have been taken, the displacement of this engine is estimated to be in the 3 – 4 cc range. Unusually, the crankcase was clearly painted blue at some point! Although somewhat abused, the engine is complete and in good running order. All threads are British standard, implying a UK origin.

When offered on eBay, the price went remarkably high despite the engine's rather sorry state, being driven mainly by a prominent English collector who evidently recognized the engine and appreciated its value. Once again, this seeming recognition implies a British origin. Can any reader identify this unit? Someone evidently does!
