Co-written by Richard Lines and Leif Hellström, this high-quality hard-cover book was published in 1989. As a member of the Lines family whch owned the manufacturers of the FROG range, International Model Aircraft (IMA), Richard Lines was of course uniquely positioned to write such a book since he had access to internal documentation, family reminiscences and the like which would not have been available to others. We are in his debt for taking the time to participate with Leif Hellström in the compilation of this invaluable reference.
The lavishly-illustrated book covers the entire history of the FROG range from its beginnings in 1932 to the final scenes in 1976. Along the way we learn the full details of the various FROG product lines, including both flying and non-flying model aircraft as well as the famous model engine range which was marketed under the FROG banner. We are also infroduced to many of the personalities involved, very much incuding FROG engine designers Bert Judge and George Fletcher.
I am sure that this book will stand as the definitive referefrence for source information regarding the FROG range. Although long out of print, copies in good condition remain available from time to time from such sources as eBay and Amazon. If the opportunity arises to acquire your own copy, I would strongly recommend that you take full advantage!
