Established in 1949, the Enya Metal Products Co. of Tokyo, Japan has been continuously involved with the model industry for longer than any other company worldwide apart from the O.S. company of Osaka, Japan (est. 1936). The fine model engines which the Enya family business has produced over the years have given pleasure to untold thousands of modellers worldwide.

The early years of the company's existence have generally beeen relatively poorly documented in the English language. However, it's a very interesting story which encompasses the introduction of a number of the more collectible early Enya products.
