This extremely rare little 0.4 cc diesel was manufactured in very small numbers by an unknown maker in the London, England area during 1948. Its production was apparently instigated by the well-known London retailer Gamages, who advertised and marketed the engine. Unfortunately, it did not excite the contemporary marketplace to any significant extent, hence being withdrawn quite early on after a period of only a few months. Indications are that only some 150 examples were manufactured in total, making the engine very rare today.
