Stejskal (MIKRO) range

One of the vastly under-appreciated model engine manufacturers of the classic era was Václav Stejskal of Prague, Czechoslovakia (as Czechia was then). Starting out during the early post-WW2 period as a protege of the iconic Czech constructor Gustav Bušek, Stejskal went on to produce his own quite extensive model engine range, eventually adopting the MIKRO trade-name. While his designs were generally quite uncomplicated, being designed more for long-term servicability than all-out performance, a number of them displayed some very original features. Stejsakal remained in the model engine business, albeith largely under the radar, into the early years of the present millenium. A detailed article recording the Stejskal engines may be found elsewhere on this website.
